The overall theme behind my research program is to elucidate the chemical complexity and reactivity of air and water pollutants in coastal cities. There are three central research areas:
- Trace gas and aerosol interactions
- Chemistry of particulate metals in aerosols
- Degradation of organic and biological matter at the air-water interface
